Role Summary

We are seeking a TOC Technician to support 24×7 monitoring, troubleshooting, and response across a complex technology landscape that includes networks, servers, voice systems, security devices, and industrial control environments. This role plays a direct part in maintaining system uptime and ensuring rapid resolution of issues that impact operational performance.

You will monitor a large, distributed environment, identify and escalate incidents, perform break-fix activities, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain service continuity. In addition, you will contribute to documentation, participate in continuous improvement efforts, and gain exposure to a wide range of technologies used across enterprise infrastructure and industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor networks, servers, connected systems, and equipment across a large multi-site environment to identify and respond to operational issues.
  • Troubleshoot WAN, network device, voice, physical security, and IoT-connected equipment incidents; perform break-fix configuration changes as required.
  • Open, manage, and coordinate vendor support cases (e.g., Cisco TAC, Microsoft support) to expedite resolution of critical issues.
  • Maintain accurate tickets, shift notes, and documentation to support transparency, compliance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the creation, verification, and improvement of TOC SOPs and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including Network Engineering, Operations, and Field Services—to minimize downtime and restore services quickly.
  • Support adherence to Change Management and Notification procedures for planned and unplanned work.
  • Assist with emergency response efforts, special projects, workflow reporting, and other operational assignments as needed.

Key Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of experience in network operations, technical support, IT monitoring, or a similar infrastructure support role.
  • Strong understanding of performance monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor, Splunk, ThousandEyes, or AppDynamics.
  • Knowledge of network routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and the OSI model.
  • Basic familiarity with data and voice communications, including VoIP and traditional telephony.
  • General understanding of SCADA or industrial control systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in PC troubleshooting, with basic knowledge of Windows Server systems.
  • Experience writing or maintaining technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, customer-focused approach, and the ability to work independently in a high-availability environment.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts to support 24×7 coverage.
