ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE
Medx is seeking a Software Integration Developer who has deep industry experience in the Health Benefits Administration / TPA space. This individual will be developing compiled applications to securely transfer a large amount of Enrollment and Claims data (EDI 834 / 837) from over 250+ external partners. Working within the Microsoft / Visual Studio stack, this individual will be working in the full SDLC to develop, test and implement reliable and secure integration.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- File Transfer & Workflow Automation
- Design, configure, and maintain robust Managed File Transfer (MFT) automation using VisualCron or similar enterprise scheduling tools.
- Development & Troubleshooting (.NET / C#)
- Open, debug, and trace source code within Visual Studio to diagnose issues with custom integration components, console utilities, and DLLs.
- Utilize System.IO (file streaming, buffer management, batching) and System.Net (HTTP requests, authentication, socket handling) to enhance data processing engines.
- Refactor existing code for performance and reliability as data volumes grow.
- API & Integration Testing
- Design and execute automated test suites using tools like Postman or RestSharp to validate API contracts, JSON/XML payload schemas, headers, and HTTP response codes.
- Build regression tests to verify that endpoint updates do not break existing file transfer triggers or database scripts.
- Compliance & Security
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and security standards across all integration pipelines.
- Ensure sensitive Protected Health Information (PHI) is encrypted both at rest (e.g., PGP, AES) and in transit (SFTP, TLS/HTTPS).
REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have deep experience in the Health Insurance / TPA industry
- Must have deep knowledge of ANSI EDI 834 and 837 transactions
- .Net Framework
- C# Coding
- SQL
