Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with strong Business Analyst capabilities to support a large, complex implementation of MAK SYSTEM and associated workflows across multiple client sites. The ideal candidate will have experience bridging IT and laboratory/blood bank domains and a proven ability to deliver regulated, multi-site clinical system rollouts on time and on budget.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate medium to high complexity projects and support high complexity initiatives within a program under a Senior PM.
- Conduct requirements gathering, documentation, validation, and traceability across IT, lab operations, blood bank, and clinical stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, maintain RAID logs, prepare status reports, and manage project artifacts and documentation updates.
- Coordinate data conversion planning, mapping, validation, reconciliation, and related documentation.
- Support change management including SOP updates, training materials, communications, and readiness activities.
- Assist with billing-related data work, test preparation, and system verification activities.
- Manage project budgets up to USD 1,000,000 and assure adherence to institutional and IT budget guidelines.
- Engage senior technical resources, facilitate technology problem-solving, and present project requests to oversight bodies when required.
- Provide guidance on project management practices, methods, and standards; perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong Business Analyst background, including requirements solicitation, documentation, process mapping, and traceability.
- Strong Project Management background, including RAID tracking, status reporting, meeting facilitation, and implementation support.
- Experience with healthcare, clinical systems, LIS/LIMS, lab operations, blood bank, or transfusion medicine environments.
- Experience supporting data conversion, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Ability to manage large volumes of project and requirements documentation with clarity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web browsers.
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years managing IT and/or Healthcare projects using PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas, or Master's degree with 4+ years equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
- MAK SYSTEM experience (highest preference).
- Epic and Beaker experience.
- Blood bank or transfusion medicine experience.
- Experience with large-scale or multi-site implementations.
- Previous client experience.

Additional Details
- Contract through April 2027. Position type: Hourly contractor.
- Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work location: 100% remote. Occasional onsite build days as required.
- Preference for candidates within commuting distance to Rochester, MN for periodic onsite needs.
