Ankit Jain leads BI team, been there for a year. Shaping the direction.

Has a maternity leave taking place. No contractors on team. This will allow him to hire. Has hired contractors in the past. More on technical side. Has a data engineering team, really wants independent.

Wants someone good with Dashboarding, independent,

Talk to stakeholders, couple of VPs of product will be stakeholders, requirements gathering, troubleshooting. All stakeholders in Pacific Time zone.

SQL, Dashboarding, manage stakeholders talk to them, gather requirements. URGENT NEED. Has someone leaving from India team. Start in 2-weeks, knowledge transfer. Sigma dashboard, tableau/powerbi/looker.

Mostly debugging, z-models,

Product and customer success.

Domain knowledge not much on product. Enterprise software, SaaS would be ideal or enterprise software. DON'T NEED BACKUP SECURITY.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an autonomous, highly technical BI Contractor to own and maintain our data reporting ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings expert-level Sigma / Tableau or BI dashboarding proficiency, hands-on experience in the SaaS/Product space, and the capability to drive projects independently from ambiguous business questions to fully realized data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sigma Dashboard Development: Design, build, and optimize complex, highly dynamic workbooks, datasets, and visualizations using Sigma Computing as the primary BI interface.

Requirements Gathering: Partner directly with cross-functional stakeholders to translate vague, loosely defined business problems into clear technical data specifications and metrics.

Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: Diagnose, debug, and resolve BI dashboard errors, broken pipelines, logic discrepancies, and query performance bottlenecks.

Autonomous Execution: Take full end-to-end ownership of data deliverables with minimal supervision, navigating ambiguity to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions.

Technical Requirements & Qualifications

Sigma Expertise (Required): Advanced proficiency in Sigma Computing-including complex calculations, dynamic parameters, warehouse integration, and scalable workbook design.

SaaS / Product Analytics Domain: 4+ years of hands-on experience analyzing core product/SaaS metrics (e.g. Usage analytics, churn, retention, user engagement, funnel conversion).

SQL: Working knowledge of SQL and ability to debug data models in dbt and Snowflake.

Modern Data Stack: Familiarity with modern data architectures feeding into Sigma (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, BigQuery).

Problem Solving & Communication: Strong capability to gather stakeholder inputs, articulate technical trade-offs, and deliver concise actionable insights to both technical and business audiences.
