The Engineering Intern will support configuration engineers and chief engineers with routine engineering and configuration activities. This role provides hands-on experience in engineering processes, documentation, and technical analysis, enabling the intern to learn and contribute to both development and ongoing engineering programs. The Engineering Intern reports to the Engineering Manager and works under the guidance of engineering staff.
This position contributes to our vision by:
Assist in preparing, organizing, and updating engineering documents, configuration records, and change requests.
Support reviewing and compiling engineering change documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with established policies.
Aid in evaluating document change requests for change management process compliance.
Help input, update, and validate product and configuration information in databases and systems, ensuring accuracy.
Participate in configuration management activities, such as collecting and consolidating data for status reports.
Help organize and prepare materials for chief engineering meetings such as project milestone reviews.
Assist in the preparation, tracking, and distribution of change notifications and meeting minutes.
Support the coordination and documentation required for the Configuration Change Board (CCB) and other technical meetings.
Contribute to engineering review processes by preparing summaries or notes as requested.
Help review change requests form for configuration standards.
Assist in compiling training or reference materials, under the direction of engineering management.
Participate in knowledge-sharing workshops, and training sessions as a learner and support resource.
Attend and observe CCB and Master Development Review meetings to learn about engineering change management and team collaboration.
Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned by the configuration or chief engineer teams.
