Overview
We are working with a client preparing for a broader SAP modernization initiative and seeking an experienced SAP BTP Workflow Automation Consultant to support workflow design, automation strategy, and process optimization initiatives within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) environment.
This consultant will play a key role in helping the organization streamline business processes, improve operational efficiency, and modernize workflow execution across SAP and integrated enterprise systems. The environment is expected to involve collaboration across functional and technical teams supporting SAP S/4HANA and related SAP cloud technologies.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience designing and implementing SAP workflow automation solutions within SAP BTP, including workflow services, process automation, approvals, notifications, integrations, and business process orchestration.
Project Environment / Context

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement workflow automation solutions within SAP BTP
- Configure and support SAP Build Process Automation / SAP Workflow Management solutions
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical workflow solutions
- Develop approval workflows, notifications, task management, and automated business processes
- Support integration of workflows with SAP S/4HANA and related SAP applications
- Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and other business areas
- Assist with process optimization and identification of automation opportunities
- Troubleshoot workflow-related issues and support production enhancements
- Contribute to workflow governance, standards, and best practices
- Support testing, documentation, deployment activities, and end-user knowledge transfer
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP workflow technologies
- Experience with SAP Build Process Automation and/or SAP Workflow Management
- Background supporting workflow automation within SAP enterprise environments
- Experience integrating workflows with SAP S/4HANA and related SAP systems
- Understanding of SAP BTP services and architecture
- Experience with APIs, event-based integrations, and process orchestration
- Ability to work directly with business users and technical teams
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience supporting enterprise-level SAP transformation initiatives
Preferred Experience
- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 applications supporting workflow processes
- Exposure to SAP Integration Suite / CPI
- Experience with low-code/no-code automation tools within SAP BTP
- Understanding of security, governance, and compliance considerations within SAP cloud environments
- Prior experience in large enterprise or multi-system landscapes

- Client is currently in planning and roadmap alignment stages
- Project is expected to move into active execution during Q3 2026
- Consultant will be expected to contribute both strategically and hands-on
- Strong preference for candidates with real-world SAP BTP workflow implementation experience versus purely theoretical exposure
