We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Controller to join our pre IPO client in the Energy industry. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization that values innovation and a forward-thinking approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The role requires a strong understanding of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all company accounts and investments, ensuring that all financial operations are in compliance with statutory legislation and regulations.
2. Prepare and present financial reports in accordance with SEC regulations.
3. Implement and maintain a system of internal controls that will ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded.
4. Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report, including the management of audits and internal reporting.
5. Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
6. Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes.
7. Collaborate with executive leadership to define financial strategy and policy.
8. Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
9. Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns.
10. Work with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit.
11. Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization.
12. Work with the executive team on strategic vision, including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships.
13. Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization with regard to operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline. An MBA, CPA, or related designation is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the Energy industry.
3. Proven knowledge of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting.
4. Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis.
5. Proven experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the private sector.
6. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.
9. Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
10. Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
11. Proficiency in accounting software.
