The CNC Machinist programs, sets up, and operates Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components. Key duties include part inspection, machine maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration in a safety-focused, team-driven environment. You will report to the Machining Manager.
You will
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components
- Interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Select and adjust cutting tools, collets, guide bushings, and machine components
- Perform offsets, tool changes, and program edits at the control panel
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and CMM
- Write G-code programs using CAD/CAM software based on engineering specs
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, and production teams
- Support new product, tooling, and process implementations
- Foster a collaborative, team-based learning environment
- Promote safety and perform regular housekeeping duties
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in machining.
- Set up and operate multi-spindle CNC machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T.
- Read, write, and edit G-code programs.
- Set, use, and read precision layout and measuring instruments
EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):
- Lift and position parts weighing up to approximately no more than 50 pounds periodically.
