Power BI Developer
Work Location: Greensboro, NC
Work Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week. Strong possibility of extension.
Contract Duration: 24 Months
Pay rate $50 per hr on W2
This is an excellent opportunity for a data-focused developer to work with modern analytics tools while expanding expertise across Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Data Services, and Snowflake within a large enterprise environment. The role offers a blend of development, analytics, business engagement, and data integration responsibilities while providing long-term project stability and potential for extension.
This Software Developer will support enterprise reporting, business intelligence, analytics, dashboard development, data integration, and reporting platform operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience with modern data analytics and visualization tools and a desire to expand their expertise in SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Data Services, Snowflake, Power BI, and related reporting technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop, maintain, and enhance business reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
- Partner with business users to gather reporting requirements and provide data-driven insights.
- Create, modify, and support SAP BusinessObjects reports, queries, and universes.
- Support KPI reporting, operational metrics tracking, and performance analysis.
- Validate report accuracy and ensure data quality and integrity before deployment.
Data & ETL Support
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support ETL processes and data integration workflows.
- Assist with SAP Data Services job execution, maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
- Support data warehouse structures, reporting datasets, and data governance initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams, report logic, and support procedures.
Dashboard Development
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and visualizations.
- Build data models and reporting solutions that support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement reporting enhancements.
- Contribute to ongoing analytics modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Business & User Support
- Work closely with business and functional teams to understand reporting and analytics needs.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to reporting consumers and end users.
- Maintain BI standards, documentation, knowledge articles, and best practices.
- Participate in projects involving reporting, data integration, business intelligence, and analytics deliverables.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Strong experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, and data visualization best practices.
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques for reporting and business intelligence.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data integration, data validation, and data quality management.
- Experience working with or supporting SAP BusinessObjects reporting environments.
- Exposure to data warehousing concepts, reporting datasets, and analytics platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot reporting, dashboard, and data-related issues effectively.
- Understanding of modern data platforms such as Snowflake or similar cloud-based data environments.
- Proven ability to work independently and adapt quickly to a dynamic client environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate project status, risks, issues, and progress to supervisors, stakeholders, and business users.
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in data validation, reporting accuracy, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP Data Services.
- Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
- Exposure to SAP reporting and analytics ecosystems.
- Experience supporting enterprise BI, reporting, or data warehouse environments.
- Knowledge of reporting governance, data quality, and business intelligence best practices.
