Security Systems Support Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Security Systems Support Engineer to provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for advanced physical security software and hardware systems. This role is critical in maintaining, integrating, and optimizing enterprise security solutions, including video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while supporting both internal teams and end users.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for security software and hardware systems, including video management, access control, and intrusion platforms
• Diagnose and resolve system performance issues to ensure optimal functionality
• Perform custom system integrations, system upgrade planning, and system audits

Service & Maintenance Coordination

• Schedule and coordinate service and maintenance calls with customers
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on installed security and access control systems
• Ensure all service work complies with Federal, State, and local regulations

System Installation & Configuration

• Assist with installation, configuration, and ongoing support of electronic security systems
• Collaborate with Project and Sales teams to support system design, implementation, and customer requirements

Customer Support & Consultation

• Provide expert consultation regarding system performance, maintenance, and upgrade pathways
• Maintain strong customer relationships by delivering professional, responsive service

Additional Responsibilities

• Support internal teams with troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge sharing
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and security best practices
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in security systems support, technical support, or a related IT field
• Hands-on experience supporting video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems
• Proficiency with security platforms such as Milestone, LenelS2, DMP, or similar systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Secondary Skills (Nice to Haves)

• Background in Computer Science or Engineering
• Industry certifications
• Experience with enterprise environments and system integrations

Additional Skills & Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of IP networking, IP-based security systems, and system integrations
• Industry certifications related to security platforms are a plus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
