About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and operation of large-scale enterprise networking environments. This role will focus on data center networking, routing and switching technologies, network security controls, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting enterprise-class LAN, WAN, and data center environments while contributing to network engineering projects, operational stability, and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and Data Center networking solutions.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing and switching platforms in large-scale environments.
  • Implement and maintain IP routing technologies including BGP, OSPF, and static routing.
  • Support DDoS mitigation strategies and network security initiatives.
  • Configure and maintain network security controls including ACLs, VRFs, and related technologies.
  • Execute network changes through established change management processes.
  • Participate in enterprise infrastructure projects from design through implementation and validation.
  • Monitor network capacity and proactively address performance and reliability concerns.
  • Research industry best practices and recommend network improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, network designs, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, and audit teams to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Provide on-call support and assist with critical incident remediation as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise LAN, WAN, and Data Center networking solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience with routing protocols including:
    • BGP
    • OSPF
    • Static Routing
  • 3+ years of experience implementing DDoS mitigation solutions and configuring network security controls.
  • 3+ years of Network Engineering experience or equivalent combination of education, military, and professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting:
    • Cisco Nexus platforms
    • Arista networking solutions
  • Strong understanding of network security technologies including:
    • Access Control Lists (ACLs)
    • Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF)
    • DDoS Virtual Connect
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting complex enterprise network infrastructures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNA, CCNP Data Center, CCIE, or related networking certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with network automation and scripting using:
    • Python
    • YAML
    • Ansible
    • GitHub
  • Experience working in Agile or Product-based environments.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Jira
    • ServiceNow
    • Microsoft Visio
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience creating engineering documentation and technical design artifacts.
  • Experience supporting regulatory, compliance, or audit activities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems in high-volume enterprise environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Work Environment
  • Hybrid work schedule with regular onsite presence required.
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Charlotte, NC.
  • Full-time remote work is not available for this position.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation and after-hours support is required.
