Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Systems Administrator

Location-Remote

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Systems Administrator to manage, secure, and automate infrastructure and application delivery pipelines. This role blends system administration, DevOps practices, and security (DevSecOps) to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure infrastructure (on-prem and cloud)
• Manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls
• Automate system provisioning, configuration, and deployments
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security threats
• Implement security best practices (IAM, patching, vulnerability management)
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security into the SDLC
• Manage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Conduct system audits, compliance checks, and incident response
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and security procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 6–10 years of experience in system administration, DevOps, or related roles
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix and scripting (Bash, Python)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and system security
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, ELK stack, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security tools (SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners)
• Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS)
• Experience with secrets management tools (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CISSP, or CKA
• Experience with zero-trust architecture and security automation
