Description: About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Senior Interface Analyst to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise integration solutions within a complex healthcare technology environment. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and external partners to analyze, design, test, implement, and support data exchange interfaces and web services.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in healthcare data integrations, interface design, web services, file transfers, and systems analysis. Experience supporting Medicaid or healthcare payer systems is highly desirable.
This position requires a self-driven professional who can independently manage multiple priorities while effectively collaborating across cross-functional teams throughout all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities Interface Analysis & Design - Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and validate interface requirements.
- Design, document, and maintain interface specifications, record layouts, schemas, file formats, and integration standards.
- Define and document web service specifications, including request/response structures, endpoints, and service contracts for SOAP, REST, and FHIR-based APIs.
- Conduct design reviews, walkthroughs, and technical assessments for new and existing interfaces.
- Ensure interface documentation remains accurate, current, and aligned with business and technical requirements.
Integration Testing & Implementation - Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), end-to-end testing, and validation activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support implementation, deployment, stabilization, and post-production activities for interface solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues.
- Validate data accuracy, mapping logic, and transaction processing across systems.
File Transfers & Connectivity Management - Configure, monitor, and support secure file transfer solutions using SFTP and related technologies.
- Maintain file transfer schedules, directory structures, encryption standards, and access controls.
- Investigate and resolve connectivity, transmission, and file processing issues.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data protection standards, including HIPAA requirements.
Production Support - Serve as a primary point of contact for interface-related incidents and support requests.
- Coordinate with business, infrastructure, and external partner teams to resolve production issues.
- Support data exchange processes, reporting activities, and data validation efforts.
- Assist in managing emergency interface incidents and outage resolution.
Technical & Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with infrastructure, security, application, and cloud teams to support integration solutions.
- Support integrations hosted in cloud environments such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Participate in SDLC activities including requirements analysis, design, testing, implementation, and production support.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to integration architecture, security, and development standards.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, systems analysis, interface analysis, or integration-focused roles.
- Strong understanding of interface design principles, data structures, and system integrations.
- Experience working with SOAP and REST web services.
- Hands-on experience with XML, XSD schema design, and validation techniques.
- Experience managing file exchanges using SFTP and related protocols.
- Working knowledge of encryption, decryption, and secure data transfer methodologies.
- Experience creating business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in SQL and database validation techniques.
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies and software development processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting Medicaid, healthcare payer, or healthcare information systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, EDI, and related transaction standards.
- Experience supporting integrations in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Exposure to Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience presenting technical findings and project updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange, eligibility, claims, enrollment, and related business processes.
