Role Summary:
Major Aerospace Company is seeking a Configuration Analyst 1 to support Configuration Management activities. The role focuses on managing configuration data, engineering changes, documentation, and coordination between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other teams.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and maintain project/engineering documentation, specifications, drawings, schedules, and contract changes.
· Review requirements and determine documentation needed throughout project phases.
· Analyze product/design changes and their impact on products and systems.
· Manage change orders, modification records, and change authorization documentation.
· Review released engineering change data and coordinate updates across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Data Control teams.
· Ensure configuration changes follow established procedures and customer requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
· Basic knowledge of ERP, PLM, and MES systems.
· Understanding of configuration data, part numbers, BOMs, routings, and change control.
· Proficiency with Excel, Word, and standard office tools.
· Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
· Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
· Experience with SAP/ERP, Teamcenter/PLM, MES, or similar systems.
· Configuration Management, PLM, or manufacturing experience, preferably in aerospace/defense or regulated environments.
· Experience with BOMs, part structures, ECNs/ECRs.
· Understanding of configuration management, change control, baselines, and revisions.
