Software Developers for Randstad Digital, LLC. Multiple openings. Headquarters: Woburn, MA. Develop, design, test, deploy and/or automate scalable big data applications, data models, data lake architecture, reusable utilities and assets, workflows, code, and data ingestion, processing, and transformation pipelines. Execute phases of lifecycle, confer with stakeholders, troubleshoot. Review requirements, production, components, performance, technical specifications, jobs, error handling, logging mechanisms, data sources, data warehouses, security, roadmap, version control, legacy modules, code repositories, regulatory requirements. Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and diagrams, participate in sprints, tune partitioning and caching, build data validation and reconciliation logic. Optimize queries and indexes, perform file transfer and validation, ensure secure data movement, create reusable frameworks. Identify bottlenecks, analyze client/user needs, recommend modifications. Use Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, CI/CD, Oozie, ETL, SQL, Sqoop, Kafka, Tableau, Power BI, ML models, MapReduce, Apache Iceberg, Presto, Trino, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Airflow, PySpark, Autosys, Python, BitBucket, Jira, WinSCP, Shell, Putty. 40 hrs/wk. Must have Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years experience in the proffered position or as a Developer, Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the specified fields plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the specified occupations. Must have at least six (6) months of experience developing data models, code; reviewing error handling, data sources, data warehouses, data validation, bottlenecks; optimizing queries and indexes; using ETL, SQL. Must be willing to travel/relocate to unanticipated locations throughout the US on short notice for extended periods of time. Telecommuting permitted. $178,132 to $178,150 /yr.
