Job DetailsWe are seeking a Tax Supervisor to oversee tax engagements, review returns, mentor staff, and serve as a key point of contact for clients. This role offers a blend of technical tax work, client advisory exposure, and leadership responsibilities within a collaborative mid-sized firm environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare complex tax returns including 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120
- Supervise engagements involving high-net-worth individuals and multi-entity businesses
- Assist with tax planning strategies and client advisory work
- Review staff workpapers and provide coaching and mentorship
- Manage multiple client engagements and filing deadlines
- Research complex tax matters and communicate findings to leadership and clients
- Collaborate with managers and directors on workflow and client service initiatives
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide proactive communication
Qualifications
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong technical exposure to partnerships, corporations, and HNW individual taxation
- Experience reviewing returns and mentoring staff
- Hands-on experience with CCH Axcess Tax required
- Experience with multi-state and Trust & Estate returns is highly valued
- CPA preferred or actively pursuing
- Strong project management and communication skills
