Role: Web Application Programmer
Location: Tallahassee, Florida 32399 (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
· Follow Department IT processes and coordinate with other Department IT staff to ensure compliance with Department standards.
· Integrally involved in the development and support of all Internet/Intranet/Extranet sites and supporting systems.
· Works closely with other IT groups and customers to define the system design and user interface based on customer needs and objectives.
· Ensures the integration of the Web servers and all other supporting systems.
· Responsible for system tuning, optimization of information/data processing, maintenance and support of the production environment.
· Participate in the analysis of current system(s) to gain an understanding of
· inputs and outputs.
· Participate in the analysis of the current system to gain an understanding of the inputs and outputs.
· Mentor junior developer team members.
· Attend and participate in all project related meetings and assuring meeting notes are produced and distributed, as necessary.
· Correspond (verbally and in writing) with project team and internal stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status.
· Participate in code reviews.
· Server as subject matter expert.
· Recommend best practices in solution architecture and Web/Internet development.
· This project does not require travel outside of Tallahassee, Florida.
Tasks
At a minimum, the Consultant(s) shall perform the following tasks:
• Workspace, network access and a computer workstation.
• Direction and approval for completion of tasks and deliverables, including timeframes, shall be provided and overseen by the Department’s designated Contract Manager and/or Program
• Department’s designated Contract Manager and/or Program Manager will be responsible for the approval of all tasks, activities and deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
• 4 to 6 year of IT work experience in systems analysis, development and engineering in an online environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with State of Florida information technology standards and processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft C#.Net, MVC, JQuery, and Responsive Design.
• Proficient Experience with Test Driven Design and Unit Testing methodology.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Oracle.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Visual Studio 2012 and later.
• Experience using HTML.
• Experience working in a Waterfall and/or Agile development environment.
• Strong communication and validation skills.
• Experience with IT systems and processes, methodologies and their direct implementation to projects.
• Experience working on multiple projects as a project leader or frequently as the subject matter expert.
• Goals-oriented proactive team player with the demonstrated ability to multi- task and prioritize in a fast-paced professional environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to garner support from a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills that can make independent decisions within area of responsibility and expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
• Knowledge of PowerPoint and SharePoint.
