Job Summary

The Data Engineer III will support the Principal Data Engineer in delivering high-quality data engineering solutions for enterprise initiatives. This role focuses on developing, testing, and optimizing ETL pipelines to ensure scalable and efficient data processing.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with IBM DataStage, Snowflake, dbt, and MettleCI, along with expertise in data pipeline testing, governance, and ETL optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using DataStage, Snowflake, dbt, and MettleCI
• Implement data pipeline testing including:
  • Unit, integration, and regression testing
  • Data validation and quality frameworks
  • Automated testing in CI/CD pipelines
• Develop high-performance data processing components for analytics and reporting
• Optimize data modeling, mining, and production workflows
• Integrate new tools and automation into existing data architecture
• Collaborate with architects, IT teams, and data scientists
• Maintain disaster recovery procedures and ensure data availability

Required Technical Skills (Must Have)

• IBM DataStage (strong experience)
• Snowflake
• dbt (data build tool)
• MettleCI (CI/CD integration)
• ETL/ELT pipeline development and optimization
• Data pipeline testing frameworks
• Data governance and scalable data architecture

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Data Engineering / ETL / BI experience
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
