Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist 4 to support procurement operations within our client's supply chain organization. This role is responsible for processing Purchase Orders, validating pricing, ensuring SKU alignment, and partnering with finance and supplier teams to meet SLA-driven procurement needs for large-scale networking and hardware initiatives.
This is a high-visibility position interfacing frequently with senior stakeholders, including GMs, CVPs, and finance leaders. The team culture is collaborative, supportive, and known for low turnover.
Top Required Skills
5+ years using SAP or Oracle financial tools (experience with additional financial systems is a plus).
5+ years of experience pricing contracts, managing approvals, and placing Purchase Orders.
5+ years of supply chain or procurement experience (networking hardware strongly preferred).
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations, the Procurement Specialist will:
Support the Hardware Procurement team and process high volumes of Purchase Orders (25,000+ annually).
Validate pricing with suppliers and ensure accurate data alignment prior to PO creation.
Submit and track PO approvals through finance and business stakeholders.
Manage procurement and pricing request queues, monitor SLAs, unblock delays, and drive requests to completion.
Work with sourcing teams to ensure quotes, SKUs, and pricing are correct and aligned before approval routing.
Partner with Finance to drive approval efficiency and streamline cycle times.
Track status, cycle times, and escalate roadblocks for both Pricing and Procurement workflows.
Process procurement requests submitted through tickets, email, and management team for server, network, SAN, and spare hardware needs.
Support new market readiness by identifying required procurement toll gates for OPEX and CAPEX materials.
Collaborate with Supply Chain Operations Management, Capacity Planning, and Clear to Build teams to ensure on-time delivery of demand.
Provide clear, timely, and effective communication across stakeholders.
Typical Day
Review email and work queues for incoming procurement actions.
Execute tasks following established checklists, identify blockers, and coordinate resolutions.
Place POs, route approvals, validate pricing, and ensure SKU accuracy.
Partner with cross-functional teams to meet SLAs and maintain a low queue volume.
Engage in varied day-to-day operational tasks supporting the networking procurement team.
Required Experience
5+ years of procurement/supply chain experience.
SAP/Oracle financial systems experience.
Experience placing Purchase Orders and managing approval workflows.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage high-volume workloads with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work PST business hours regardless of U.S. time zone.
Active U.S. citizenship + valid passport (non-negotiable).
Preferred
Experience with networking hardware procurement.
SQL query writing experience.
Excel or Power BI report development.
Strong presentation skills and executive communication capability.
Experience collaborating across multiple teams with no direct reporting authority.
Calm, solution-oriented approach to fast-paced problem-solving.
Degree Requirements
No degree required; bachelor's degree in Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
