Product Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Product Manager in New York, NY.

Overview:
Our client in the Financial Services industry is seeking a Product Manager to support a Debt Management Solution initiative. This individual will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, driving product strategy, backlog management, and Agile delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong product ownership experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced Agile environment.

Responsibilities:
* Product Manager will partner with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to define product vision and roadmap priorities
* Gather and translate business requirements into well-defined product features, epics, and user stories
* Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business objectives and delivery timelines
* Lead backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies
* Collaborate closely with development teams to clarify requirements and remove roadblocks
* Drive product decisions through data, user feedback, and stakeholder input
* As a Product Manager, you will ensure successful delivery of product enhancements and new capabilities within the Debt Management platform
* Actively participate in product and developer working sessions, providing direction and guidance throughout the development lifecycle
* Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership

REQUIREMENTS:
* 4+ years of Product Management, Product Owner, or related product-focused experience
* Proven experience designing product components and translating business needs into clear, actionable user stories
* Experience working directly with software engineering and development teams
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including backlog management, refinement, sprint planning, and iterative delivery
* Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and confidently contribute during product and development discussions

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience within the Financial Services industry
* Experience supporting enterprise-scale digital product initiatives
* Exposure to debt management, debt servicing, bonds, fixed income, or related financial products

Location Requirements:
* Must reside in the New York City or Northern New Jersey area
* Ability to work onsite in Jersey City, NJ three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday) is required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
