Description:

Role Overview

A Sales Cloud BA + Admin bridges business requirements and Salesforce configuration. The person works closely with Sales, Leadership, and IT to design, configure, and continuously optimize Sales Cloud to meet revenue goals.

This role owns:

  • Requirement discovery (BA hat)
  • Salesforce configuration & maintenance (Admin hat)
  • Adoption, data quality, and release support

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis (BA Responsibilities)

  • Partner with Sales, RevOps, Marketing, Finance to understand processes and pain points
  • Conduct:
    • Stakeholder interviews
    • Process mapping (Lead-to-Cash, Opportunity, Forecasting)
    • Gap analysis between current state vs future state
  • Translate business needs into:
    • User stories
    • Functional requirements
    • Acceptance criteria
  • Define KPIs and success metrics for Sales Cloud features
Support UAT and business sign-off

2. Salesforce Sales Cloud Administration

  • Configure and maintain:
    • Objects (Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Activities)
    • Custom objects & fields
    • Page layouts & Lightning Record Pages
    • Validation rules & flows
  • Implement Sales Cloud features:
    • Lead assignment & auto-conversion
    • Opportunity stages & sales paths
    • Forecasting (Collaborative Forecasts)
    • Campaign influence
  • Manage:
    • Profiles, Permission Sets, Role Hierarchy
    • Data security & sharing rules
  • Create and maintain:
    • Reports & dashboards (Sales KPIs, pipeline, win rate)
    • Automation using Flow
  • Handle data:
    • Data imports/exports
    • De-duplication & data hygiene

3. Sales Enablement & Adoption

  • Support sales teams with:
    • Training sessions
    • User guides & quick reference docs
  • Act as first-level support for Salesforce issues
  • Monitor adoption metrics and usage dashboards
Continuously improve UX based on feedback
 

4. Release & Governance Support

  • Participate in:
    • Sprint planning & backlog grooming
    • Release notes and deployment readiness
  • Coordinate with Developers (if any) for:
    • Apex/Lightning components
    • Integration requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Salesforce best practices
