About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Helpdesk Technician to serve as the first point of contact for IT support within a corporate environment. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced IT support professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, helping end users, and contributing to the reliability and security of IT systems.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, user account administration, and desktop support. This person should be comfortable working independently, communicating with users of varying technical backgrounds, and escalating more complex issues when necessary.

This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition to a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests through a ticketing system, phone, chat, and in-person assistance.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, printer, mobile device, and network connectivity issues across Windows and macOS environments.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, user accounts, and licenses.
  • Manage user access and identity administration through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including onboarding, offboarding, password resets, MFA, and group permissions.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and update end-user devices using Intune, Jamf, or similar endpoint management tools.
  • Provide basic network troubleshooting support for Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity issues.
  • Set up and troubleshoot conference room technology, video conferencing, and audio/visual equipment.
  • Maintain accurate ticket records, hardware inventories, and IT documentation.
  • Support endpoint security practices, phishing response, access controls, and device compliance.
  • Assist with Windows Server, backups, virtualization, and other infrastructure tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional experience in corporate help desk, service desk, desktop support, or IT support.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows 10/11 and macOS environments.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID for user and access management.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management and remote support tools, such as Intune, Jamf, or comparable platforms.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and VLANs.
  • Experience using IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or Freshservice.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • A stable employment history demonstrating an average tenure of at least two years in previous roles.
  • Ability to work fully onsite and lift or move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to begin the assignment promptly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft 365/Azure certifications.
  • Exposure to Windows Server, Group Policy, Hyper-V, VMware, and backup solutions.
  • Basic PowerShell or scripting experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, email security tools, MFA, or SSO platforms.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Phone or other VoIP systems.
What Makes This Opportunity Appealing?
  • Hands-on exposure to endpoint management, identity administration, networking, and infrastructure.
  • Opportunity to expand technical skills beyond traditional help desk support.
  • Direct involvement in keeping day-to-day business technology running smoothly.
