Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee complex application development projects in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role requires a strategic leader capable of managing priorities, budgets, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects on schedule.
Responsibilities:
Define project scope, establish priorities, and create detailed schedules for deliverables.
Lead and facilitate discussions among stakeholders, including analysts, programmers, and clients, to ensure alignment on project goals.
Monitor and manage budgets, tracking expenditures to ensure financial objectives are met.
Utilize Agile Scrum methodologies to drive project progress and enhance team collaboration.
Oversee the use of tools such as Atlassian Jira for tracking tasks and project milestones.
Ensure project compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive project reports to stakeholders, providing updates on progress and outcomes.
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Requirements
Proven experience in IT project management, particularly in application development.
Certification in Project Management with a focus on attention to detail (PMP) is required.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for project tracking and management.
Ability to manage budgets and monitor expenditures effectively.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide teams and stakeholders.
Solid understanding of project lifecycle management and best practices.
Ability to identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
