Separation and Migration Technical Lead

job summary:

We are seeking an expert Senior Technical Lead to spearhead the separation and migration of critical R&D and Engineering application landscapes. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end strategy and execution for complex application carve-outs, driving target-state design, cloud/on-prem readiness, data migration, and production cutovers across multi-tier enterprise environments.

responsibilities:

• Lead discovery, application mapping, target-state architecture design, and cutover strategy for R&D/Engineering applications.
• Direct cross-functional infrastructure, security, IAM, database, and middleware teams to ensure environment readiness across DEV, SIT, UAT, Staging, and PROD.
• Define and oversee data migration, transformation, reconciliation, archival, and validation processes.
• Hands-on leadership during mock migrations, technical rehearsals, cutovers, defect resolution, and hypercare stabilization.

qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

15+ years of experience in enterprise application implementation, systems administration, infrastructure engineering, and technology transformations.

Track record of leading complex application separation, divestiture, re-platforming, or TSA exit initiatives.

Strong technical background across Windows/Linux, databases (SQL Server, Oracle), networking, firewalls, certificates, DNS, SSO, and Active Directory.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex application, data, licensing, and infrastructure dependencies while translating technical risks for business leaders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience supporting R&D, Product Development, or PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Autodesk Vault, Sopheon Accolade, Hexagon EcoSys).

Experience with Azure or AWS cloud and hybrid application architectures.

Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe, ITIL, Azure/AWS, Microsoft, Linux).
