Job Description:
Program Manager is responsible for driving integrated program planning, governance, and executive reporting across multiple work streams. This role will create and maintain a master program plan, manage the program risk and issue register, standardize status metrics and reporting data, and consolidate work stream updates into clear, decision-ready executive summaries. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytically strong, and skilled at translating complex program information into polished PowerPoint presentations for VP meetings, weekly status reviews, and Steering Committees (Steer Cos). This individual will partner closely with work stream leads to identify dependencies, monitor execution health, drive follow-up on risks and actions, and ensure leadership has consistent, high-quality insights to support program decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain an integrated master program plan across multiple work streams, including milestones, dependencies, critical path, and cross-functional handoffs.
• Establish and manage a comprehensive program risk and issue register, including risk identification, impact assessment, mitigation planning, ownership, and escalation tracking.
• Consolidate work stream updates into clear, concise executive-level status reports for senior leadership.
• Standardize program reporting by defining common status metrics, reporting templates, data definitions, and governance routines across teams.
• Partner with work stream leads to ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned to program outcomes, delivery milestones, and key decisions.
• Identify cross-work stream dependencies, timeline risks, and execution gaps, and proactively drive resolution.
• Prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations and executive decks for VP meetings, weekly program reviews, and Steer Cos, with a strong focus on clarity, narrative flow, and decision support.
• Translate detailed project data into executive-ready insights, including key accomplishments, risks, decisions needed, milestone health, and next steps.
• Facilitate governance forums by driving agenda development, collecting inputs, tracking action items, and following through on leadership decisions.
• Ensure program communications are consistent, professional, data-driven, and tailored to executive audiences.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of program management, PMO, or portfolio management experience in complex, cross-functional environments.
• Proven experience building integrated plans across multiple work streams and managing program-level governance.
• Strong experience maintaining risk registers, issue logs, dependency tracking, and escalation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to consolidate large volumes of project information into executive-ready summaries and status reports.
• Expert-level PowerPoint skills with a strong ability to create polished, visually clear, and leadership-ready presentations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to standardize reporting structures and metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating Steer Cos, executive reviews, or governance forums preferred.
• Experience working in large enterprise programs, transformation initiatives, or highly matrixed organizations preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; PMP or similar certification preferred.
