Target canddate:

• A Cisco CCNP-certified Network Engineer with strong experience supporting enterprise or data center switching infrastructure, comfortable handling Tier 2/3 escalations, change management, and cross-functional collaboration with security and infrastructure teams.
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or Data Center certification
• 5+ years of enterprise/data center Network Engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst (3K/4K/9K) and Cisco Nexus (5K/7K/9K)
• Strong Layer 2 expertise: VLANs, STP variants, trunking, LACP/PAGP, VPC
• Strong Layer 3 expertise: SVIs, multilayer switching, OSPF/EIGRP/BGP, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP
• Fiber optic networking: SFP/SFP+/QSFP+/QSFP28, SMF/MMF, DOM, OTDR, optical troubleshooting
• Experience supporting Cisco switching infrastructure in enterprise or data center environments

Position Overview:

Join a team responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise and data center Cisco switching infrastructure. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on network engineer with deep expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, switching fabric technologies, and fiber optic connectivity within complex Cisco environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, deploy, and support Cisco Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching infrastructure using Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
• Manage switching fabric architectures including leaf-spine and core/distribution/access designs.
• Configure VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, SVIs, routed ports, and multilayer switching.
• Deploy and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Implement Spanning Tree, VPC, port channels, and LACP/PAGP configurations.
• Support VXLAN/EVPN overlay fabrics in modern data center environments.
• Install, validate, and troubleshoot fiber optic transceivers and connectivity across enterprise infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security teams on firewall interface connectivity and network segmentation.
• Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, documentation, and Tier 2/3 escalation support.
• Participate in change management, maintenance windows, and on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise or data center Network Engineering experience.
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or Data Center certification.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst (3K/4K/9K) and Cisco Nexus (5K/7K/9K) switching platforms.
• Strong expertise in Layer 2 technologies including VLANs, 802.1Q trunking, Spanning Tree, port channels, LACP/PAGP, and VPC.
• Strong expertise in Layer 3 switching including SVIs, multilayer switching, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, and IP routing fundamentals.
• Solid hands-on experience with fiber optic networking, including SFP/SFP+/QSFP+/QSFP28 transceivers, SMF/MMF media, DOM monitoring, OTDR, and optical troubleshooting.
• Working familiarity with enterprise firewall interface connectivity and switch-to-firewall segmentation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in enterprise networking environments.
