Role: Data Architect
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Hybrid (1 day onsite per week)
Rate: $75/hour W2

Description
We are seeking a hands-on Data Architect to support marketing and sales pipeline initiatives within a team that powers live streaming analytics, attribution, inventory management, and financial back-office insights. This role fills a key gap and requires someone who can architect end-to-end data solutions while remaining technically hands-on with modeling and development. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Solutions Architecture teams to ensure data platform designs meet enterprise standards, guide development teams in large cross-functional meetings, and perform hands-on dimensional modeling. Much of the data originates from advertising agencies and marketing platforms, so experience working with large, complex marketing datasets is strongly preferred. Industry background is flexible.

Responsibilities

Architect, model, and design data solutions supporting marketing and sales pipeline analytics.
Partner with Solutions Architects to ensure data platform designs meet architectural expectations and enterprise standards.
Participate in large cross-functional meetings to guide development teams on architectural patterns and data best practices.
Perform hands-on dimensional modeling and design scalable data structures for big data workloads.
Work with advertising, marketing, and attribution datasets from multiple sources (including agency data).
Develop and optimize solutions using AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks.
Build and refine pipelines, data models, and data frameworks supporting attribution, inventory, and financial back-office systems.
Support MDM initiatives and ensure data consistency across marketing and sales domains.
Collaborate with data engineering, product, analytics, and other technical stakeholders across the data ecosystem.

Must-Have Skills

AWS (core data + compute services)
Snowflake (architecture, modeling, performance optimization)
Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, big data processing)
Dimensional Modeling (Kimball/star schema, enterprise modeling)
Big Data engineering and architecture experience
Python (data processing, pipeline development, scripting)
MDM (Master Data Management)

Nice to Have

Experience with advertising, marketing, or attribution datasets
Experience working in environments with financial back-office or inventory systems
Ability to mentor teams on data architecture patterns
Strong communication skills for cross-team architecture meetings
