Location: Woodlawn, MD (On-Site)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Experience: 15+ Years

Interview: 1st round virtual / 2nd round Onsite (F2F)

Note: Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

Key Required Skills:

Database Architecture, experience with AWS, snowflake, SQL, and automation and scripting.

Description:

15+ years as a Database Architect, with strong troubleshooting skills, experience in federal/public sector projects, and ability to guide junior developers while communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Hands-on with RDS, AuroraDB, DynamoDB, Redshift, ElastiCache, EMR, Neptune; skilled in configuring and managing clusters, optimizing for performance and cost.
Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance, secure database solutions; strong knowledge of IAM, encryption, VPC, and compliance standards.
Experienced in integrating databases with AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, Glue) and automating workflows using CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CLI, Python, and Bash.
Skilled in designing/managing Snowflake data warehouses, schema design, role-based security, and writing complex SQL queries for analysis, transformation, and reporting.
Expertise in query optimization, caching, clustering, auto-scaling, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover solutions (Multi-AZ, read replicas).
