Senior Technical Architect

Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and modernization of enterprise applications and data platforms.
• Define application, integration, cloud, and data architecture strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Drive technical leadership across global development teams and ensure adherence to architecture standards.
• Design scalable, secure, high-performing solutions using .NET, Azure/AWS, APIs, and modern integration patterns.
• Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, governance activities, and technology roadmap planning.
• Modernize legacy applications and enable digital transformation initiatives.
• Design and implement API-driven, event-driven, and messaging-based integration solutions.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance throughout the SDLC.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in Technical Architect or Solution Architect roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET/C#, ASP.NET, REST APIs, Microservices, and enterprise application design.
• Experience designing cloud-native solutions on Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong knowledge of application integration, messaging, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL/Document databases.
• Understanding of scalability, resiliency, security, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Experience evaluating and designing Monolithic and Microservices architectures.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience working within Agile/Kanban environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Insurance, Reinsurance, or Financial Services industry experience.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms and digital transformation programs.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in highly regulated environments.
• Experience supporting inspection, scheduling, or operational business processes.
