Job Description

Hyland OnBase Workflow / Unity Client Configuration Specialist (Temporary Assignment with Knowledge Transfer)

 

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Hyland OnBase contractor to provide technical and functional support for OnBase Unity Client workflow solutions and related platform capabilities. This role will support the design, configuration, troubleshooting, enhancement, and documentation of OnBase solutions, with a focus on workflow, notifications, forms, keywords, scripting, and advanced system configuration.

This is a temporary engagement focused on both delivering required development/configuration work and enabling long-term sustainability.

The role will also help evaluate and implement newer OnBase/Hyland capabilities including API-based integrations, intelligent document processing, agentic AI, App Builder, and web-based user experiences.

 

 

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have:

•           Demonstrated experience supporting Hyland OnBase in a technical configuration or administration capacity.

•           Strong hands-on experience with OnBase Unity Client workflow configuration and support.

•           Experience with notifications, forms/e-forms, keywords/metadata, workflow routing, and advanced configuration.

•           Experience troubleshooting production issues in workflow-driven document management environments.

•           Strong ability to train, mentor, and transfer technical knowledge to business and technical users.

•           Experience working with stakeholders to define requirements and document solutions.

•           Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Strong preference for candidates with:

•           Experience with OnBase Studio configuration.

•           Experience with App Builder and web-based OnBase applications.

•           Knowledge of REST/API integrations and event-based architectures.

•           Exposure to Hyland IDP / intelligent document processing.

•           Familiarity with agentic AI / intelligent automation concepts.

•           Experience modernizing legacy implementations to newer OnBase capabilities and UI models.

•           Experience in environments requiring auditability, governance, and structured processes.

 

 

Desired Deliverables / Outcomes

The contractor is expected to deliver:

•           Stable, maintainable OnBase workflow and configuration solutions

•           Clearly documented forms, keywords, and notification configurations

•           Reduced dependency on external support through successful DFJ knowledge transfer

•           Complete training materials and documentation for ongoing support

•            Recommendations for future enhancements including APIs, App Builder, web UI, IDP, and agentic AI
