Full Stack Developer

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Application Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications that enable critical business operations across Electric, Gas, Corporate Services, Customer Experience, and Shared Services organizations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong full-stack development experience with Java/Spring technologies, modern frontend frameworks, cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, and Agile delivery methodologies. This individual will collaborate with business partners, solution architects, analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable applications that support digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support enterprise software solutions.
- Develop and maintain microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build responsive web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Participate in architecture reviews and application modernization initiatives.
- Integrate applications across enterprise platforms and business systems.
- Develop scalable cloud-ready solutions and containerized applications.
- Support CI/CD automation and DevOps best practices.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Monitor application health, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, governance, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of application development experience.
- Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale software solutions.
- Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with source control, code repositories, and Agile development methodologies
- Experience supporting production applications and incident management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility industry experience preferred.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with messaging technologies including IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
- Experience with application monitoring tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, or TestNG.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and developer productivity platforms.
- Experience with DevSecOps and secure software development practices.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
