Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a critical data modernization initiative within our Enterprise Data & Analytics (Decision Intelligence) organization. This role will be responsible for managing the modernization of our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and associated data pipelines as part of a larger enterprise data transformation program. The ideal candidate will possess a technical project management background, experience leading complex data and analytics initiatives, and an understanding of Agile delivery methodologies. This individual will partner closely with program leadership, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution of strategic data platform initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery for Enterprise Data Warehouse modernization initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including architects, data engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
- Manage project schedules, risks, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and status reviews.
- Drive stakeholder communication and provide regular updates on project health, risks, budget forecasts, and timelines.
- Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, and executive-level reporting.
- Collaborate closely with program leadership to align project execution with broader enterprise data platform objectives.
- Identify and manage interdependencies between data modernization efforts and related enterprise initiatives.
- Support financial forecasting, budget tracking, and resource planning activities.
- Ensure adherence to organizational project management standards, governance processes, and delivery best practices.
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of Project Management experience leading large-scale technology initiatives.
- Proven experience managing complex Data & Analytics, Data Warehouse, Data Integration, or Data Platform projects.
- Understanding of data architectures, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data ecosystems.
- Experience delivering projects in Agile environments utilizing Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Proficiency with Jira and Agile project management tools.
- Leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting Enterprise Data Warehouse modernization programs.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Services, AWS Data Services, or similar technologies.
- Previous experience working alongside data engineering, architecture, and platform teams.
- Scrum Master certification or hands-on Scrum Master experience.
- Experience with Planview or enterprise portfolio/project management platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance and data management practices.
- Experience within large, complex enterprise organizations.
Desired Candidate ProfileThe successful candidate will be more than a traditional project manager or coordinator. This individual should have enough technical depth to understand data platform modernization efforts, communicate effectively with engineering teams, and articulate the business value behind the work being delivered. The ideal candidate can bridge technical and business conversations while driving accountability, execution, and delivery across a highly visible enterprise initiative.
