We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the Construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing organization where you will have the chance to oversee and manage the financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lease accounting, WIP reporting, tax compliance, financial analysis, and financial reporting. This role is pivotal in providing financial leadership and aligning business and finance strategy to drive business results.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Controller, you will have a wide range of responsibilities. These include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing all financial and accounting operations within the organization, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.

3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.

4. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

5. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

6. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

7. Managing all aspects of lease accounting and WIP reporting.

8. Conducting thorough financial analysis to aid in business decision making.

9. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the construction industry.

3. Proven experience with Lease Accounting, WIP Reporting, Tax Compliance, Financial Analysis, and Financial Reporting.

4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

5. Proficient in using financial software and MS Office.

6. High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

7. Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and at various levels within the company.

9. Ability to think strategically and solve problems.

10. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
