Job Details

The Controller will oversee financial operations across two construction-focused businesses supporting concrete and site services. This role is responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and partnering with operations to drive performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly and year-end close processes across multiple entities
  • Manage job cost accounting, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition
  • Oversee AR/AP, billing cycles, retainage, and cash flow forecasting
  • Partner with project teams to monitor budgets, margins, and cost performance
  • Maintain internal controls and support audit, tax, and compliance requirements
  • Supervise accounting staff and support process improvements across platforms

Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to construction or related industries
  • Strong understanding of job cost accounting, WIP, and project-based financials
  • Experience in multi-entity or growing platform environments preferred
  • Proficiency in construction accounting systems such as Deltek ComputerEase, Viewpoint Vista, Sage 300, or similar construction ERP systems and Excel
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work closely with operations and leadership
