Summary

We are looking for Scientist III for our client in Ridgefield, CT
Job Title: Scientist III
Job Location: Ridgefield, CT
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview:
Pay Range: $45hr - $50hr

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and perform purification of biotherapeutic proteins using chromatography methods such as affinity capture, SEC, CEX, AEX, MMC, and HIC.
  • Troubleshoot complex purification systems and support process development activities.
  • Perform analytical techniques to assess protein purity, stability, and quality (e.g., HPLC-SEC, SDS-PAGE, CGE, DLS).
  • Evaluate new technologies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and consistency.
  • Conduct purification assessments, including screening protein behavior under relevant process conditions.
  • Interpret and present experimental findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and evaluate novel analytical methodologies to enhance purification capabilities.
  • Contribute to research efforts in protein biochemistry, including structure, stability, dynamics, and function.
  • Provide protein purification and biochemistry support to other scientists and project teams.
  • Improve data quality and workflow efficiency using automation and analysis tools.
  • Identify and implement automation strategies to streamline laboratory operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of cell culture fundamentals and mammalian cell culture techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with aseptic techniques and laboratory best practices.
  • Knowledge of protein purification and analytical characterization methods.
  • Familiarity with DNA and molecular biology, including DNA quality assessments.
  • Ability to work with plate-based formats (e.g., 24-well, 96-well).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex experiments.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education And Experience:

  • Master s degree in a related scientific discipline with 3+ years of experience.
  • OR Bachelor s degree in a related scientific discipline with 7+ years of experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automation or high-throughput antibody expression systems.
  • Familiarity with process development in biotherapeutics or protein sciences.
