Marketing & Proposal Manager

Description

We are looking for a Marketing & Proposal Manager to join a construction-focused organization in Waltham, Massachusetts. This permanent, onsite role is ideal for a strong writer who can develop persuasive pursuit materials, coordinate with internal teams, and support business development efforts in a deadline-driven environment. The position offers the opportunity to shape proposal strategy, strengthen presentation materials, and contribute to client-facing initiatives across multiple projects. Candidates who are organized, self-motivated, and experienced in proposal development for services organizations will be well positioned for success. Salary is 75-85K depending on experience with some flex as needed.

Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation of proposal submissions from kickoff through final delivery, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with client requirements.

Create and refine written content for qualifications packages, project sheets, executive summaries, and other pursuit-related materials.

Partner with technical staff, business development teams, and leadership to gather information and turn complex details into clear, compelling messaging.

Support the development of interview presentations by organizing content, shaping narratives, and helping teams present a strong client-facing message.

Maintain and update staff biographies, project descriptions, and marketing collateral so materials remain current and ready for new opportunities.

Build strong working relationships across departments to improve coordination and keep proposal efforts moving efficiently under tight deadlines.

Design and format documents and presentations using Adobe InDesign and PowerPoint to produce high-quality, visually consistent deliverables.

Requirements

3+ years of proposal management or proposal coordination experience within a construction, contractor, architecture, engineering, or similar services environment.
Demonstrated ability to write and edit high-quality proposal content with strong attention to tone, clarity, and detail.
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft PowerPoint for creating effective business development materials.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Clear communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
Self-directed, motivated approach with the ability to take ownership of assignments and drive them to completion.
