Location: Hybrid - 4 days/week onsite in SE MI
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Rate Range: $40 - $60/hr
Role OverviewThis role is responsible for developing and maintaining the front-end (client-side) of applications, primarily web-based applications, with occasional support for mobile or responsive experiences. The engineer will design and implement user interfaces and user experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with customers and stakeholders to deeply understand use cases, pain points, and requirements, advocating for user-centric software solutions
- Design, develop, and deliver front-end solutions to solve complex problems using modern tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies
- Ensure development aligns with established architecture guidelines for a unified and scalable approach
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, designers, back-end engineers, and architects
- Create mockups and prototypes to visualize new features; participate in UI design reviews and product demonstrations
- Perform functional, automated, and UI testing to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Continuously improve application performance through bug fixes, optimization, and adoption of new technologies
- Apply best practices including cross-browser compatibility, SEO principles, and accessibility standards
- Design and deliver interactive, user-friendly experiences using enterprise brand standards and templates
- Build UI components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as Angular or React
- Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, tools, and UI/UX trends
Required Skills Preferred Skills- API integration experience
Experience Requirements- 2-4 years of overall IT experience
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on development experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least one coding language or framework, or equivalent educational experience

- Intensive, hands-on academic coursework
- Must be able to demonstrate practical coding competency
