Summary

Job Description

You will collaborate closely with internal and external teams to ensure that Oracle's edge cloud offerings, including Compute Cloud Customer, Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, and Roving Edge devices, effectively address customer requirements for security, resilience, scalability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solution Design & Development: Design and develop scalable, integrated edge cloud solutions that combine Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Compute Cloud Customer, Roving Edge devices, and public cloud technologies. Drive solutions that meet industry-specific requirements across multiple verticals, leveraging Oracle technologies and third-party applications. Lead the creation of solution papers, technical documentation, technical enablement materials, blogs, reference architectures, demos, and case studies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including development, support, QA, and product management to design, test, and refine edge cloud solutions. Partner with third-party vendors to certify and integrate their applications with Oracle Edge Cloud platforms, ensuring interoperability, security alignment, and adherence to Oracle standards.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as a senior technical individual contributor to strategic and regulated customers, gathering requirements, designing custom architectures, and translating business needs into secure, resilient edge cloud solutions. Lead workshops, proofs of concept, and roadmap planning sessions, supporting customer onboarding and long-term success.
  • Cross-Platform Adaptability: Leverage experience across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) to design hybrid and multicloud solutions that integrate Oracle's edge and public cloud offerings.

Responsibilities

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility
  • Extensive Technical Expertise: 10+ years of experience architecting scalable solutions across public and private clouds, virtualization platforms, containerization, networking, data migration, and IaaS. Proven experience delivering edge cloud solutions using OCI, Compute Cloud@Customer, and Roving Edge devices.
  • Security & Compliance: Demonstrated experience working in secure, regulated, or sovereign environments.
  • Specialized Industry Knowledge: Ability to design and deliver edge cloud solutions across industries including, Government, defense, intelligence, telecommunications, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, automotive, energy utilities, finance, agriculture, media & entertainment, transportation and logistics, with strong understanding of compliance and security requirements.
  • ML / AI Knowledge: Familiarity with machine learning, generative AI, MLOps, ML pipelines, module training, and large language models (LLMs), particularly as applied to distributed or edge environments, is an advantage.
  • Business & Commercial Insight: Strong ability to align technical architectures with customer business objectives, financial outcomes, and long-term strategy. Presales and executive-facing experience is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,400 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
