Job Title: PeopleSoft Financial Aid Consultant (Equation Engine Expert)

Client: Infosys / University of Maryland (UMD)
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 1 Year+ Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly specialized PeopleSoft Financial Aid Consultant with deep functional and technical expertise to support mission-critical automation and business process improvements within the Financial Aid (FA) module.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of the PeopleSoft Equation Engine and extensive experience across the full Financial Aid lifecycle. This role requires direct collaboration with university leadership and the Financial Aid department to deliver high-impact solutions within accelerated timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex PeopleSoft Equation Engine logic for aid packaging, eligibility determination, and fiscal management.
Support and optimize the complete Financial Aid lifecycle, including:

ISIR processing
Verification
Awarding & Packaging
Disbursement

Configure and maintain PeopleSoft Campus Solutions – Financial Aid module.
Translate federal and institutional financial aid regulations into system configuration and equation logic.
Serve as a liaison between IT and the Financial Aid department to gather business requirements and provide functional support.
Identify inefficiencies in existing FA processes and implement scalable automation solutions.
Support peak processing cycles and system upgrades under strict deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8-10+ years of experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Expert-level proficiency in PeopleSoft Equation Engine.
Strong understanding of Financial Aid regulatory compliance (Federal & Institutional).
Proven experience working directly with Financial Aid leadership and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to deliver under tight timelines, especially during peak aid cycles.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and strategic problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
