Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Plainwell seeking IT Systems Administrators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux) and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Administer and support network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
• Implement and monitor data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data through regular patching, updates, and vulnerability assessments.
• Document IT systems, configurations, and procedures, maintaining accurate inventory records.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in managing and maintaining Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
• Demonstrated experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) for server and desktop environments.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for manufacturing specific applications and equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA or MES systems.
• Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an OT/ICS environment.
• Experience with virtualization technologies in a production setting.
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of IT tasks in a manufacturing context.
