IT Systems Administrator | Mattawan, MI

Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Mattawan seeking IT Systems Administrators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux) and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Administer and support network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
• Oversee and manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Implement and manage cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across the manufacturing facility.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Manage and maintain industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) networks.
• Ensure data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
• Strong understanding and experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs) and industrial control systems (ICS) or operational technology (OT) environments.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions and cybersecurity best practices.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA or MES systems.
• Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an OT environment.
• Experience with virtualization in a manufacturing setting.
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of tasks in a production environment.
