IT Systems Administrator | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Paw Paw seeking IT Systems Administrators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Manage and support virtualization platforms (VMware) for critical manufacturing applications and infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure high availability of IT systems.
• Deploy, configure, and manage network devices such as switches, firewalls, and access points in a production environment.
• Oversee data backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and business continuity for manufacturing operations.
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices to protect sensitive manufacturing data and intellectual property.
• Provide technical support and resolution for hardware and software issues for end-users on the factory floor and office.
• Document IT systems, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and operational efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) administering Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
• Demonstrated experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere preferred).
• Experience with network administration (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches) in an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or other production-critical IT systems.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data backup/recovery solutions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA or other industrial control systems
• Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle in a manufacturing context
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments
• Experience with virtualization technologies in a production environment
