Enterprise Architect to lead architecture strategy across Corporate Finance, HR, and Compliance business domains working onsite with our existing team in Grand Rapids, MI. This role will focus on application and business architecture, portfolio analysis, target-state roadmaps, integration strategy, and governance across the technologies that support critical corporate functions.
This is a strong fit for an architect who understands how to align business capabilities, enterprise applications, data, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, reduce complexity, and support long-term business goals.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Enterprise Architect to assist in the technology and process architecture of Corporate Finance, Compliance and HR business domains. The Architect''s responsibilities include improving the current IT infrastructure, optimizing business processes, and setting the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs. The Enterprise Architect is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization''s business and technology activities.
To be successful as an Enterprise Architect, you should have excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills. You should also have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Enterprise Architect Responsibilities:
- Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggesting improvements.
- Create current and Target state architecture and roadmaps
- Portfolio analysis of the application inventory/platforms supporting business domains
- Suggesting ideas to simplify, innovate and reduce costs in IT and business leadership.
- Providing business architecture and systems processing guidance.
- Ensuring efficiency, security, and support of the organization''s goals.
- Creating methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control.
- Determining and implementing build versus buy strategies and views of the overall business/technology strategy.
- Governance of AI use cases for ROI and adherence to standards and policies.
- Prepare and present to Technical Architecture Group.
- Analysis and recommendation of new Technologies
Enterprise Architect Requirements:
- A Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Proficient and broad experience with technology platforms/frameworks/concepts: AWS, OCI, Azure public clouds, ERPs(workday, Oracle ERP, Peoplesoft) , Data lake house concepts, Data mesh architectures, Security frameworks, AI/GenAI implementation concepts/frameworks (RAG etc.)
- Experience in system architecture may be advantageous.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership and motivational skills.
- Experience with Architecture frameworks and APM tools e.g. Ardoq.
- Meaningful experience in either Corporate Finance, HR or Legal/Risk/Compliance.
Financial Services/Insurance Industry experience is preferred but not required
