Mainframe Storage Administrator(Only Independent Candidate)

We are seeking experienced Mainframe Storage Administrators to support enterprise IBM zSeries storage environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in IBM DASD, DFSMS, tape management, storage replication, and disaster recovery technologies within large-scale mainframe environments.

This role involves day-to-day storage administration, production support, capacity planning, troubleshooting, automation, and implementation activities across mission-critical zSeries infrastructure.

Mainframe Storage Administration

• Provide day-to-day administration and operational support for IBM zSeries storage environments
• Support enterprise DASD, tape, backup, and storage management infrastructure
• Monitor storage utilization and perform proactive capacity planning activities
• Resolve production incidents identified by users or automated monitoring systems
• Participate in 24x7 rotating on-call production support

Storage Operations & Support

• Troubleshoot complex storage-related issues impacting business-critical applications
• Work closely with zSeries application teams and platform support groups
• Coordinate and implement storage environment changes based on business requirements
• Support storage integrity, recoverability, backup, and performance optimization initiatives
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software support activities

Automation & AI Enablement

• Utilize AI tools to analyze operational data and recommend solutions
• Leverage M365 Copilot AI for meeting recaps and communication support
• Stay updated on AI advancements relevant to IMS and storage system programming
