Senior Systems Administrator

*Data center move from dallas location to another location in dallas, migrate over to new data center Responsibilities for the System Administrator can vary, but should include: Participate in the planning and execution of a physical data center migration, including server, storage, and network infrastructure relocation. Perform physical installation, racking, stacking, cabling (copper and fiber), and wiring of servers, storage arrays, and networking equipment. Configure and administer VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including host builds, cluster configuration, HA/DRS, vMotion, and storage migrations. Administer and support enterprise storage systems, including Pure Storage arrays. Provision, configure, and troubleshoot SAN and NAS infrastructure (Fibre Channel/iSCSI, zoning, LUN presentation, multipathing, NFS/SMB). Support Windows Server infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services, DFS, and domain services. Perform system migrations including VM migrations, storage migrations, physical-to-virtual (P2V) conversions, and infrastructure refresh initiatives. Support Service Operations including incident, problem, change, and request fulfillment processes. Monitor, administer, upgrade, and patch production infrastructure per established procedures and runbooks. Contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs), documentation, and migration runbooks. Collaborate cross-functionally with network, security, cloud, and application teams to ensure successful migrations with minimal downtime. Participate in an on-call rotation and be available outside normal business hours as required, particularly during migration cutovers. Need to be in DFW area to go into data centers Phased migration data centers 4 miles apart 8 weeks of phased migration work 30-40% of time will be in the data center Haven't kicked off the migration project yet, still in legal phase, 35-45 days from now will be past that step and in the next stage of the migration project One data center is the info mart and the other is downtown Dallas

Additional Skills & Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience in production environments. 3+ years of VMware administration in enterprise environments. 3+ years of Windows Server administration experience. Demonstrated hands-on data center experience (racking, wiring, storage implementation). Experience supporting enterprise SAN/NAS environments. Experience participating in or leading infrastructure migration projects. Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, SOX) preferred. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / TRAINING: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered). Preferred certifications include: o VMware VCP o Microsoft certifications (Windows Server, Azure Administrator) o Storage certifications (Pure Storage, NetApp, EMC, etc.) o ITIL Foundations o CompTIA Server+

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
