WHO YOU ARE:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced
Staff Digital Signal Processing Software Engineer
to join our team.
At a level 5 this person would be considered an
emerging authority with 7+ years of experience
working with the following:
Digital Signal Processing development
C++ development and integration
Software Defined Radios (SDRs)
Agile / Scrum methodology
THE WORK:
As a Staff Digital Signal Processing Software
Engineer you will:
Integrate and test various parts of our system
that implement transmitter and receiver designs
for diverse mission solutions across a wide array
of domains including communications, telecom,
electronic, and sensor systems.
Enhance waveforms to increase resiliency to
real world conditions. algorithm performance /
compute efficiency, and probability of detect &
decode
Develop, Debug, Test across several C & C++
Code Bases
Design & Architect new waveform approaches
and logic
*** This position does not require a security
clearance to start but will require the candidate
to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance ***
Basic Qualifications
- Generally has 8+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of signal processing/algorithm, electronic warfare, or Radio Frequency technology development
- Professional experience with C or C++
programming language
- This position does not require a security clearance to start but will require the candidate to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
Desired skills
- Knowledge of modern DevOps tools and
practices, including Continuous Integration (CI)
Environments and Pipelines, Git, CMake, or
Modern Development IDEs
- Software development experience with Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)/embedded
systems
- Working knowledge of FPGA design and
implementation
- Experience working with commercial and/or
military comm's waveforms
- Working knowledge of SDR frameworks
- Experience modifying & deploying SDR
codebases
- Experience working with open architecture
communication (VICTORY/MORA standards)
- Developing in a Linux environment (Real-Time
kernel experience a plus)

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $154,100 - $267,145. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
