Engineering Manager | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $119,000 - $168,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Charlotte that are seeking skilled Engineering Managers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Drive the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Oversee the optimization of existing production lines to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for engineering documentation, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Analyze production data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
