Position Summary

  • The Network & Help Desk Engineer is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure, including virtualization platforms, backup solutions, endpoint management systems, and network services.
  • This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of IT systems while providing Tier 2/3 support to end users.
  • SCCM, Nutanix, Veeam

 

Key Responsibilities:

Networking

  • Manage and support LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues
  • Manage VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and network security controls

Help Desk & Support

  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for users and IT systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Manage IT tickets, incidents, and service requests within SLA
  • Support end-user computing (Windows OS, applications, devices)

Technical Skills Required

  • Nutanix HCI (AHV, Prism)
  • Veeam Backup & Replication (backup, restore, DR)
  • Microsoft SCCM / MECM (deployments, patching, OSD)
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs)
  • Windows Server administration
  • Active Directory, Group Policy
  • Virtualization technologies

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure or hybrid cloud environments
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices
  • ITIL framework familiarity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–6+ years of experience in system administration, networking, or IT support

Relevant certifications (preferred):

  • Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
  • Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
  • Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MD-102, etc.)
  • CompTIA Network+ / Security+

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach
