About this PositionPrimerica is seeking an OpEx focused Business Analyst Intern. This intern will support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing business processes, documenting findings, and assisting with operational efficiency efforts, using Mimica to capture and analyze current and historical process data. This role will help maintain and organize analysis requests and outputs, review process data, and create clear summary documentation to support decision- making. The intern will collaborate with business stakeholders and delivery leads to support process analysis, standardization, and improvement opportunities. This position will also contribute to knowledge management by creating concise, repeatable summaries and insights aligned with leadership guidance.
Salary range is $18-$22 per hour, depending on the student's undergraduate level. Salary ranges for graduate students may vary.
Responsibilities & Qualifications- Support Operations Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives through process discovery, analysis, and documentation.
- Assist with task mining activities (e.g., using Mimica) to understand current state processes, user task patterns, and operational bottlenecks.
- Analyze task mined outputs to identify opportunities to Re-engineer processes based on efficiency, value, and complexity.
- Support the initial phases of automation platform work, including: Developing and maintaining Process Definition Documents (PDDs).
- Assist automation teams working with platforms such as UiPath by providing clear process documentation and analysis inputs.
- Maintain and organize Mimica Requests, Automation and analysis backlogs, including current and completed assessments. Create structured summary pages and documentation (e.g., in Confluence) that clearly communicate findings, bottlenecks, and recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:- Actively pursuing a 2 year or 4 year degree in Business, Operations Management, Business Analysis, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an interest in process improvement and automation.
- Ability to understand and document business processes, workflows, and task steps.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for analysis and presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes and summarizing insights.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:- Coursework or project experience related to Operations Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or automation.
- Exposure to task mining, process mining, or workflow analysis concepts or tools (e.g., Mimica or similar technologies).
- Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., UiPath) or automation lifecycle concepts is a plus.
- Experience creating process documentation, flow diagrams, or standard operating procedures.
- Familiarity with knowledge management tools such as Confluence or SharePoint.
- Interest in enterprise automation, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.
