Senior Automation Engineer

*Note* IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS DEEP EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING ANSIBLE PLAYBOOKS, IDEALLY WITH EXPERIENCE PROVISIONING WITH TERRAFORM AND FAMILIARITY WITH AWX OR AAP.
Description
Our client is looking to add 8 Ansible automation resources to support their workstream of Repave/Infrastructure Provisioning. This effort consists of tactical efforts to enable their environment to efficiently move from legacy hosting platforms to enterprise hosting via the Scotty tool, and the strategic efforts to move to a third-party enterprise "Storefront" utility to replace our existing in-house built tools like Cruise and GOMP. This use case will also automate as many manual requests, using ansible playbooks, that users currently have to make to fully provision infrastructure, making the provisioning pipeline as zero touch as possible and improving the developer experience, ultimately allowing the development teams to seamlessly repave. This will be key for when we realize our Data Center strategy - enabling our Development community to
rapidly "migrate" to new Data Centers with little to no down time.

Automation of post provisioning processes where possible, to provide a near zero touch provisioning
pipeline
Improved developer experience
Implementation of a third-party tool for an improved provisioning experience
Ability to rapidly migrate to a new Data Center by repaving and not rebuilding
Implementation of a Support & Adoption Organization
Implementation of a Server-Side Packaging Team

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
